Awards will be presented to outstanding military personnel from Travis City Coast Guard, the Marines from MACG 48, and the Navy from NOSC stationed at Great Lakes; and Sailor of the Year at Wilmette Harbor. The Council awards the units that were statiioned at the Glenview Naval Air Station prior to its closing in 1995.

Annual Toys for Tots Gala "Salute to the USO"
The Gala's live/silent auction raises funds for Toys for Tots and for its Youth programs. Last year, the Gala donated $6,100 to the Marines' Toys for Toys Program and $2,000 for the Counci's support of the Sea Cadets and Naval Junior ROTC.
